3rd Y4PT Youth Awards Milan 2015
In the framework of the 10th Anniversary of Y4PT (2005-2015), Y4PT Foundation resumes the Y4PT Youth Awards series (started with Helsinki 2007 and followed by Vienna 2009), for praising best youth-related projects/initiatives in the transport-related mobility sector worldwide, initiated and supported by UITP Members and other transport/youth-related stakeholders.
The Y4PT Youth Awards series is meant to provide deep inspiration for taking further actions in favour of sustainable mobility and young people; it is an effective way to share best practices and lessons learned, and to transfer meaningful knowledge and experience in a see-through way among the wide range of transport-related mobility stakeholders.
Every two years, Y4PT settles a core topic based on current critical challenges facing the transport-related mobility sector and the youth.
This time the 3rd Y4PT Youth Awards Milan 2015 is organized in conjunction with UITP and will honour youth-related public transport projects contributing to a healthier society, in line with the Y4PT World Healthy Mobility Campaign: https://www.y4pt.org/projects/campaigns/healthy-mobility/ .
Projects submitted for this edition should deal with the health dimension in public transport, should be developed, carried out, inspired by or addressed to young people, and should be implemented during the last two (2) years. They also should be convergent with ambition of doubling public transport market share worldwide by 2025 (PTX2): https://www.uitp.org/strategy-public-transport/ .
The handover of the third edition of the Y4PT Youth Awards will take place during the Networking Dinner at the 61th UITP World Congress and Exhibition, on the 10th of June 2015 in Milan (Italy, Europe): https://www.uitpmilan2015.org/ .
